Process
The process in Bankruptcy is relatively straightforward. We have provided you with requests for information that we will use in order to prepare a petition. The petition is prepared under a similar oath to the one you signed on your tax return. It is important that you are careful in filling out the forms that we have given you. We will help you if there are questions regarding these forms.
Along with the documents we are requesting, please include: · Last 2 years of tax returns · Last 6 months of bank statements · Last 6 months of pay stubs · Lists of your debts.
There may be additional documentation that we need and we will let you know regarding that.
Once we have the information we will compile it, we often have questions and will contact you if we do not understand your answers. Once this information is gathered, we will meet with you to review it and sign the documents. The petition cannot be filed until you have reviewed it and signed it. Prior to filing you must complete the first class with the Credit Education people. We have talked about this in our meeting and if you have questions please talk to me or my Paralegal, about the same.
